Our universities are hands-on and tuned in to pressing social, moral, and financial issues facing our areas and better society. Our students are individuals of reliability who accept variety and are socially responsible and civilly employed throughout their lives.
In the short term, increased accessibility and increased quality in fundamental education are powerful systems for wealth redistribution and the campaign of cultural equity. This policy is in line with the provisions of the new Constitution of Mozambique used on 16 November 2004, in their posts 113 and 114 which option respectively with knowledge and higher education. About the year 1990, the Government of Mozambique decided to alter their social, economic and political direction system from the centrally-planned system inherited from the communist era and adopted a western-style of free industry system. At the same time, it was also made a decision to undertake fundamental improvements in the training programmes. Since extreme changes and broad ranging outcomes were resulting from the adoption of the new financial and political direction, it was required to supply new directions and rules governing the management of institutions of higher education.
